AW Prairie Art was started in 2011 almost by accident. While attending a woodcarving show with my parents I had a short lesson on pine needle coiling. From that very simple first basket I became obsessed with this Indian art. After about a year of making all kinds of pine needle baskets and wall hangings, I started adding custum wood burned crosses for wedding, confirmation, anniversary and graduation presents. Then in the winter of 2012, on a whim, I taught myself the art of making things with used lariat ropes. Just like the pine needles, I became fascinated with all things I could dream up to make. They include but are not limited to bowls, clocks, vases, end tables, lamps and picture frames.
AW Prairie Art is my passion and operated right here at our farm and cow/calf operation west of Kimball, NE. Since my company opened in 2011, I've treated every customer like they were a part of my family. Other artists may offer similar services, but I strive to come up with original ideas and designs for each and every customer.
New for 2015! I added a laser cutter/engraver to my business in January of 2015. With this it has opened a whole new line of products for personal or business uses. Call today for details or check out some of the photos.
I am the sole artists for AW Prairie Art. This is my passion that my wonderful husband and two grown children have supported every step of the way.
Committed to helping our customers achieve their dreams
